The AA Hospitality Awards 2023, hosted by AA Hotel & Hospitality Services, are being held at Grosvenor House, London on 25th September. Ahead of the event, the awards have unveiled their shortlist for the AA Accessible Award, presented in partnership with the Blue Badge Access Awards, which includes Hotel Brooklyn Leicester.
The AA Accessible Award commends the remarkable establishments that have excelled in promoting accessibility within the hospitality sector and this year’s shortlist includes Hotel Brooklyn Leicester in Leicestershire and the Pan Pacific in London.
Hotel Brooklyn Leicester prides itself on being the first hotel in the UK with fully accessible suites. Their 18 Liberty Rooms have been awarded the maximum 3 Blue Badge Style Ticks for accessibility and style. 10 of the rooms are wheelchair accessible, 1 features a hoist and 8 are ambulant accessible. The hotel has been designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, with wider accessible entrances, bespoke parking spaces and specific dietary requirements as standard.
The AA Accessibility Awards seek to recognise hotels that have gone above and beyond in making their property as accessible as possible, while also promoting this to their consumers. The awards not only recognise high quality accessible provision through the physical elements of the property, but also, of equal importance, its approach to guests with accessible needs through tailored services, staff training and investment.
The AA Hospitality Awards span 15 categories, including accessibility and sustainability and honour the highest quality hotels, restaurants and spas in the UK.
